Groovy

What we know as the peace sign was originally used by the British nuclear disarmament movement back in 1958.

It's a combination of the semaphore signals for the letters "N" and "D." Later, it spread to other anti-war movements in both Britain and America.

Today, we recognize it as a way of asking for understanding and harmony among our fellow man. These checks, designed by German-born artist Gabriele Utz, are the latest to use it to call for something greater.
